Sunny skies and gale force winds!
When Nicole & Andrew woke up on the morning of their Lake Macquarie wedding to gale force winds, they knew some of their plans would have to be changed. But this fabulously relaxed couple focussed on the important parts of the day, like finally becoming husband and wife, and didn’t let this blow away their excitement one little bit.
After getting ready on oposite sides of the lake, they met at Rafferty’s Resort where their ceremony had been moved inside without a hassle. Nicole’s uncle was their celebrant so even with all the guests, it was a particularly intimate and emotional occasion. After tying the knot we escaped the wind by heading over to Caves Beach where we made the most of the stunning late afternoon light and low tide, getting back to Rafferty’s just in time to catch the amazing sunset.
Our photographers Kath and Nick know a thing or two about dancing and gave Nicole & Andrew and salsa crash course after their pre-wedding shoot. We were so excited to see them pull off these moves during their bridal walz! The wedding reception was an absolute blast and we couldn’t help but join in the dancing until we left!
